“The Kingdom of Swaziland will be hosting an Israel delegation in Swaziland on the 5th April 2017 for a Business Seminar between the two countries. Participants will be drawn from both the public and private sector sectors. An Israeli delegation led by Ambassador Lenk will be participating at this event. The delegation includes Israeli companies from agriculture, water and cyber technology. The hosting of such an event shows the increasing bilateral partnership between the two countries following the successful visit of Swaziland's Prime Minister Barnabas Dlamini to Israel in December 2016”

Trade and Investment Seminar

The Swaziland Investment Promotion Authority (SIPA) with funding support from the European Union Delegation in Swaziland will host a trade and investment seminar with the objective of unpacking and discussing opportunities of the recently signed SADC-EU EPA trade agreement. The seminar will be held on the 1st December 2016 at the Royal Swazi Sun, at Ezulwini.

Swaziland having signed and ratified the EPA agreement paving a way for its full implementation as of 1st October 2016, has created a duty-free quota-free market access for all tradeable products from Swaziland to the EU which has a combined population of over 500 million inhabitants and US$16229 billion Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  The EPA agreement further presents other opportunities such as triggering FDI inflows from EU into Swaziland to take advantage of the market access and the regional value chains it promotes.

Invited panelists from Swaziland and the EU will engage on topics such as export opportunities that the EPAs present, meeting EU standards and how to find buyers in the EU. Other topics will include presentation on the business climate and FDI opportunities in Swaziland emanating from the EPA agreement.

Participants to the seminar will include representatives from EU missions based in South Africa and Mozambique, potential and existing exporters, business association, trade and investment support institutions, and key government ministries and departments

To this end, your organisation/Ministry is requested to send a representative to attend the seminar.
